I guess I stay true to what is important to every Filipino: Family.
Continuing with the Family first idea, I have decided to do the first interview with an inspiring family member living in Athens, Greece. She has founded a filipino association, has had the opportunity to be the president of it for serval years and serve the Filipino community there.
She is a great inspiration on what hard work and dedication can achieve. Here i just want to thank here for everything she has done and thank you for be the first one to be interviewed by us.
How long have you lived in Greece?
I have lived in Greece for 22 yrs now
What does the Filipino community mean to you in Greece?
The Filipino Community means a second family to me… a family away from my family, my home.
What is the most important project you had the pleasure to work on?
I have had the opportunity to work on a lot of projects with the Kapit Bisig Org. In Greece. Fund Raising Projects are always a joy to work on. All our projects are of equal importance to me. It was more of a privilege to be able to work on them
What is one of your proudest achievements?
One of my proudest achievements is Kapit Bisig Org. In Greece
What is one of the biggest struggles you had?
One of my biggest struggles is being away from home and my family
What do you love most about the Philippines?
Everything about the Philippines is amazing, but our culture in general is something i really appreciate and love more and more.
What do you miss most about the Philippines?
The hospitality in the Philippines is just incomparable to anywhere else in the world. There is also hospitality in here, but one can never compare with the one you have in your own home.
Any future projects you would like to share with us?
A livelihood project in Miagao, Ilo- Ilo City
What is one advice you would like to share with other Filipino?
Very simple: Be healthy & smart.
