How are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself?
All is good in the hood. 🙂 So ACE LAB is a community of teachers and seekers who are on a path towards self discovery through cannabis and spirituality. Cofounded by Will Ace and Francis Lab, our goal is to cultivate a safe space that allows our tribe to learn, connect and reflect on their personal journey and gain insight on how to navigate through life’s challenges.
Tell us more about your podcast!
Our podcast is called ACE LAB Presents: Higher Learning, where we take higher learning to the next level through cannabis and spirituality. In every episode, you’ll learn more about cannabis culture and how it can enhance your spiritual journey. You’ll get inspired by the unconventional wisdom of our peers and professionals as they help you get to a higher state of consciousness.
Could you break down the different topics you touch and give us a short description of what we can expect?
With each episode we make sure that there is a takeaway lesson that our tribe can learn from. Our topics range from mental health, cannabis, business, and relationships. With mental health we get personal about our journey with therapy and interview experts on the advantages of seeking help. In our talks about cannabis, we highlight the healing properties and the amazing benefits that this plant can offer. We break down the stigma by talking with cannabis entrepreneurs who are paving the way for legalization and are thriving in this field. When we get down to business, it’s all about communication, collaboration and trust. We get solid business advice from go-getters who have found success in their chosen field. And finally, we’ll have you feeling emotions as we kiki about love, heartaches, failures and the glow up.
Why did you decide to do a podcast and how can people find you?
We were channeling our inner Jasmine Masters, and we had something to say. But in all seriousness, we decided to do a podcast because we wanted to share our personal experiences despite how embarrassing or shameful it was. We believe that by being vulnerable it will allow others to speak their truth.
You talk about a lot of “taboo” topics in the Filipino community, what is the general feedback you get?
We were surprised to receive such positive feedback from the Filipino community about the taboos regarding mental health and cannabis. Through social media and word of mouth we were able to connect with a mix of Queer Filipinx Entrepreneurs in the cannabis and spiritual space. It made us realize that we’re not alone in our life journey and that a lot of our experiences are shared. Once we opened up about our own struggles it set in motion a flow of connections that transpired beyond just the U.S. It became global and that was a surprise to us.
Why are these topics so important to you and how can we help you to open the minds of people around the world?
